Distribution: The Green-winged Macaw's natural habitat runs from eastern Panama in Central America south across northern South America, east of the Andes, to Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay.
Size: They generally weight between 2-3 lbs. Their wingspan can get up to 41-49 in. Their length is around 26-36 inches.
Food: Green Wings eat seeds, fruits, and nuts that are often larger or harder than those eaten by other macaws.
Habitat: This macaw prefers humid, lowland forest, but in the southern part of its range, where the more common scarlet macaw is absent it frequents open habitats, including deciduous forest.
Lifespan: They typically live between 60-80 yrs.
