Distribution: The Blue Fronted Amazon lives throughout Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina.
Size: They reach an average length of 15 in. from head to tip of tail. The average weight is around 14-19 oz.
Food: Their diet includes seeds, fruits, nuts, berries, and leaves.
Habitat: They inhabit humid and dry forests, palm trees, and at the edge of rivers.
Tidbit: These birds are very good at mimicking human speech and are known to be noisy. When Amazon parrots were first discovered they were called kriken, which is derived from the French word meaning "screechers".
Lifespan: They genrally live between 60-80 yrs.
