Sabor is a male. Subadra and Samundra are female white tigers.

Species: White Tiger

Name: Sabor, Subadra, Samundra.

Status: White Tigers are rare in the wild but they are flourishing in captivity.

Distribution: The white tiger is a color variation of the Bengal Tiger found throughout India. Also known as the Indian Tiger.

Size: They can weigh between 240-500 lbs. Their body length is about 5-6 ft. Their tail length is about 2-3 ft.

Food: Bengal Tigers hunt small and large animals, such as wild boar, water buffalo, monkeys, hares, jackals, foxes, peacocks as well as carrion. They have also been noted to prey on young Asian Elephants and rhino calves.

Habitat: They live in a variety of habitats including grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforests, scrub forests, wet and dry deciduous forests and mangroves.

Tidbit: Tigers are a member of the big cat family and for that reason they cannot purr as small cats would. Instead of purring they chuff to let you know everything is ok in their world. Click below to hear a tiger chuff.

Lifespan: Tigers generally live up to 15 years in the wild (25 in captivity).
